All Teeth Replacement with dental implants
|
All Teeth Missing
Before dental implants, there were no fixed solution
available for people who lost all their teeth. Today,
it is possible to replace a full jaw with dental
implants and a fixed bridge that results in a permanent,
stable and high esthetic solution.
· Lets you eat and function like having natural
teeth
· A solid, stable solution that will serve
you for life
· Preserves your facial appearance and prevents
bone loss
Treatment:
The treatment procedure and number of visits is
largely dependent on the specific conditions. But
all in all, 8-10 visits should be enough to have
a fixed bridge installed. Most patients report that
they were much more comfortable following the procedure
than they had anticipated.
1. Fixed bridge on implants
When all teeth are missing or in such condition
that they need to be replaced, a fixed bridge anchored
to dental implants is the best permanent solution.
INSTALLING THE FIXED BRIDGE – STEP-BY-STEP
The course of treatment described here is one of
several options available. Consult your dentist
to find out what the best solution is for you, given
your specific condition. |

bridge over dental implants
Treatment: After the initial examination,
you can expect 4-5 additional visits until the final
fixed bridge is permanently attached. It is normal
to experience some minor bruising and swelling in
the gum and soft tissue afterwards. Any discomfort
is usually treated with an ordinary painkiller.
You should expect to be able to work the next day.

2. Overdenture on implants
An alternative to a fixed bridge is a removable
overdenture, which is anchored on implants. This
full denture that is connected to either a ball
or bar attachment, which in turn is anchored on
two or more implants in the front part of the jaw.
The implants help keep the denture in place and
provide better function and comfort. Cost is usually
the reason why this solution is chosen over a fixed
bridge although the end result can't be compared.

Name:
Dianne M., Australia
Age: 60
Occupation: Accountant |
She began losing teeth in her
late eighties. At first, she got a partial
denture. But as her teeth continued to loosen,
her family dentist decided that all of them
needed to be removed. She was given a full
denture that unfortunately didn't fit her
at all. Worse, it made her feel sick all the
time – and therefore uncomfortable around
people. She was devastated and fell into depression.
Her turning point came when she had dental
implants installed. Full fixed bridges were
fitted in both her jaws. The bridges were
created to imitate her lost natural teeth
as closely as possible. She was overwhelmed
by the result.
"I love dancing. The loose, ill-fitting
denture hindered me in that – and from
chewing and living my life like I wanted.
I just wanted to have my smile back, and I
truly feel they fixed my teeth the way they
were before. Now I can chew and taste my food
properly again. That's probably the most important
thing, after all. It is fantastic to be able
to feel such happiness at my age"
